The announcement this week that Messenger, Instagram, WhatsAp, and other Facebook-owned tools makes me question serious use of any of these.
Facebook makes money selling user data and advertising, and they haven’t got a good record when it comes to user privacy. How would Facebook profit by this move?
Since this announcement seems sketchy, I’m investigating similar aps, including Signal and Telegram.

I’m not the only one who has moved away from broadcasting on Twitter and Facebook, and those sites know the move towards private messaging apps is cutting in on things once shared on their sites.
